2014 Food Prep

Here is a list of the items I purchased for the food I prepared for the trail. There are some things I left out, like the ingredients for the trail mix, because I lost the receipt and didn't write down how much things cost. Buying bulk cheese powder makes everything better and I would do it even if I was buying food along the way. Any dinner that you are going to be making while backpacking can be made better with cheese and this cheese powder is the lightest way to get cheese on the trail. Also, coconut milk powder is by far the best calorie to weight ratio I have ever found in any food form. In one ounce of powder there is 210 calories. That is incredible and should be utilized!
